One of the Pens Used by President Johnson to Sign S. 3708

On November 3, 1966, Bert was present and received one of the pens used by President Lyndon B. Johnson, “in signing S. 3708, An Act to assist comprehensive city demonstration programs for rebuilding slum and blighted areas and for providing the public facilities and services necessary to improve the general welfare of the people who live in those areas, to assist and encourage planned metropolitan development, and for other purposes, and S. 2947, An Act to amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act in order to improve and make more effective certain programs pursuant to such act.”
